My Little Chef's

Took my first sewing class at Scrapbooks Etc. with my friend Kim. It was a blast & I learned a ton. So excited to finally be using my sewing machine that my mother-in-law bought me about 5 years ago. So, we made these chef hats with aprons and mits. They turned out so darn cute. Mackenzie loved hers and you can see how excited Cade was for his by the expression on his face. I just look at this picture and crack up! Kids are so honest...

Not A Morning Person

This picutes just makes me laugh!! Obviously she did not want her picture taken.

My Big Boy

A couple of weeks before Cade's 5th birthday, he decided that he can now pick out his own clothes and dress himself. This is wonderful!! However, one morning this is what he came out wearing. He had school that day and instead of telling him that he looked silly I said "you might get a little hot, it's hot outside." But, he didn't care he wanted to wear this and was not about to go change. Hey he's only in Preschool, so I didn't really mind sending him to school with this outfit, and he did match somewhat. Love this boy!!
P.S. He also wipes himself now!!! Glorious!!

Good Bye Grandpa ~ You will always be in our hearts

Having fun blowing up ballons
Cade took this picute, one of my favorites

Mackenzie & Grandpa Goebel

Got terrible news today that my Grandpa Goebel died. I bit unexpected. He had pneumonia a couple of weeks ago and was in the hospital. He got release last week sometime and was found today, not breathing. The hardest part is that we live to far away and hardly got to see him. My best memory was last summer when my brother Kevin got married, my Grandpa was there and he was having such a good time with his great-grandchildren. They all had so much fun laughing together! We will miss you Grandpa!

Cade's trip to the Dentist

Treated him to Starbuck for being a Champ
Crooked Smile

Getting Laughing Gas

He did not know what was coming, poor guy :(
So, being that I'm a dental hygienist, I brush and floss or water pik my kids teeth every night... And, what do I get a kid who still gets cavities! GENETICS!! Todd and I both had horrible teeth growing up, also doesn't help that daddy likes to give the kids candy. My poor baby had 4 cavities! He did amazing with the sedation and laughing gas, for sure the way to go. He is always so careful now and will ask "can I chew this on my back teeth". So responsible, what a sweetie.

"Diapers Are For Babies"

My Big Girl
At 2yrs and 4 months my baby girl has become a "big girl". I am so very proud of her.
Mackenzie wants to do everything Cade does and so of course she wants to use the toilet like him too. I give most of the credit to her potty training to her big brother.
Todd and I were pushing the potty training because she will be going to preschool in September and we wanted to save $80 a month. I wish I got paid $80 a to month change diapers!!!
She conquered it like a champ, has had a few accidents here and there but has done great overall!! This may gross some people out but I'm going to say it anyway, hee hee! I was getting ready one day and she comes running in from playing outside without any shorts or panties, goes to the bathroom and grabs toilet paper and proceeds to wipe her butt. She then tells me she went poo poo outside. I asked her to show me where and that she should not be doing that, only the dog goes poop outside. We walk outside and Cade is out there and I ask "where did Mackenzie go poo poo," he points to a spot on the patio which is clean, no poop! Cade then says "Cael (our golden retriever) ate it! SICK SICK SICK!!!
So all in all I am ecstatic that I don't have to change poopie diapers anymore!! Again, so proud of my baby girl and she is so excited to go to preschool now that she is a "Big Girl".

Cade's 1st Ski Trip

I will start out with saying that I love Flagstaff! I had a beautiful trip with Cade last weekend, teaching him how to ski. We drove up Saturday morning and hit the slopes by 1pm. First we enjoyed our cheese burgers grilled at the lodge and Reese's peanut butter cups. Cade's favorite part was going up the ski lift and let me tell you he was a champ, we didn't fall getting off the lift once. He also loved yelling hello to everyone below. It was a very busy day at Snowbowl so we only made it down 4 times, but by then he was ready to go and had to pee. We were at the top of the lift and he started shuffling toward the trees "I have to pee," I said "waaaiiit, the people here would not appreciate you peeing on their trees." So we quickly went down the mountain and headed to the rest rooms. Cade took a great nap on our 1 1/2 drive home (normally takes 30 min, traffic was terrible). Stayed over night at our condo and played in the snow Sunday morning until it was time to go home. I love my little guy so much and it was very special that he and I got to get away together,
